Digital Foot Print Will Self Destruct in 3...2...1...✷ ✌︎︎

Honestly, I enjoyed IS101-3205 and Professor Wu, even though I sometimes felt overwhelmed with certain assignments and discussions. I kept pushing forward because I knew that if I started slacking off, it would have cost me much more of a headache trying to catch up than just maintaining a steady pace of trying to do things a little ahead of schedule. One thing I will say is that everything you learn in that class is for a reason, and I encourage every student to come in early and do the bonus quizzes because the knowledge you get from those quizzes is valuable. For example, getting to class at 7 a.m. is a test of discipline and willpower, plus you have nothing to lose by getting bonus points.

I sincerely enjoyed watching almost everyone do a slideshow presentation. This alone made the class more interesting! Especially seeing the draft and polished version was an eye-opener. Professor Wu is tremendously helpful and dedicated to his students, and it shows. Thus far, I can proudly say this has been one of my favorite courses, and I am happy to have chosen an in-person class and to have the instructor be Professor Wu.

I gained a lot of digital literacy from this course, from understanding how Search Engine Optimization (SEO) works to dissecting a Uniform Resource Locator (URL), and most importantly, I learned about different scamming methods to be aware of. I can confidently say that I now know more than I did when starting this course.

6.7.6 Table and Chart Formatting Tips was one of my favorite topics due to just recently acquiring those skills from Phase 2 in Excel. So, being able to use tables and charts in PowerPoint was exciting and very familiar, and another fundamental skill I learned as well was to either make the table or chart embedded or linked to PowerPoint. I have yet to use this skill, but when I do, it will be incredibly handy when having to use statistics to sell or convince an audience.

Hello world, I am extremely excited to go see two of my favorite music artists perform live, whom I haven’t seen perform in the last 5 years! This weekend in Las Vegas, I will be seeing Curren$y, and the following week in Los Angeles, I will be seeing Corbin. Both artists have a special place in my life, and I can’t wait to enjoy myself because it’s been a while since I’ve had the time to.

  3. Hi Christian! Absolutely love to hear about your discipline and willpower. Honestly, I wish I could have gone to taken the bonus exams, however, I had to take my brother to soccer practice early in the morning, so I didn't get the chance. I know that you are absolutely gonna crush this Excel Expert certification exam!

  4. Hi Christian! I also often times felt a little overwhelmed with the amount of work and details that go into assignments. Waking up to get to class is definitely great discipline. Unfortunately, I did not do it as much as I would have liked because Saturdays are one of my only days off, but when I did, I always felt better. Good luck to you with all your future endeavors!

  7. Overwhelmed is an understatement but we managed to get through the course and with extensive knowledge of Microsoft.

I also loved your Butterfly Effect presentation which made me want to rewatch it since it has been years since I watched it.

  8. Hey Chris, I couldn't agree more with you. This class definitely requires a steady pace because if you fall behind, oh man, it’s tough to catch up. Like you said, the morning quizzes are great; nothing to lose but a LOT to gain, not just in terms of knowledge but also those extra points. It was nice seeing you take those bonus quizzes. I tried to take as many as I could myself.

  11. Hey Christian,

I really enjoyed reading your final blog post! It's impressive how you maintained discipline throughout the course, especially by attending early sessions and tackling bonus quizzes. Your insights into digital literacy, from SEO to identifying scams, highlight the practical skills you've gained.

The way you connected Excel's table and chart formatting to PowerPoint presentations demonstrates a solid understanding of how these tools complement each other. Your enthusiasm for applying these skills in real-world scenarios is inspiring.

    Enjoy the well-deserved concerts! ^-^
